EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Applications are being accepted for existing vacancies and to establish a pool of qualified candidates for positions with Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health, INC. (RSBCIHI). Applications will be accepted by the Human Resources Department at any time and will be retained for a period not to exceed (1) calendar year from date of receipt. Appropriate testing for skill requirements may be given. A pre-employment physical exam, which includes drug and alcohol testing, is required. In addition, you are required to submit a copy of your Driver’s License along with your application for employment, if needed.

Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian applicants in accordance with the Indian Preference Act (Title 2 U.S. Code, Section 472 and 473) and the Indian Self Determination Act, Public Law 93-638, provided the applicant has submitted acceptable proof of Indian preference for employment, which is to accompany the application if you are claiming Indian Preference. NOTICE OF DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE ACT REQUIREMENTS:

RSBCIHI has adopted a Drug-Free and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy, in part, to satisfy its obligations under the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988. It is unlawful for any employee to manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess or use a controlled substance in the workplace. In addition, RSBCIHI must be notified within five (5) calendar days of any criminal drug statute conviction for a violation occurring in the workplace. Employees who are suspected of violating RSBCIHI’s Drug-Free and Alcohol-Free Policy may be required to submit to an inspection of their person, vehicle or personal property. This may include medical testing for alcohol and/or drug use.

MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Department: Medical
Open until Filled
 
Location: San Manuel clinic (Grand Terrace, CA)
 
The Medical Director is responsible for all activities within the Medical Department, and also functions as a staff physician. Applicant must have a minimum of two years experience in medical management in an ambulatory care patient setting. Must be Board Certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine. A current California Medical License and DEA License are required. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.   
 
 
 
 
STAFF PHYSICIAN: FAMILY PRACTICE

Location: San Manuel clinic (Grand Terrace, CA/Banning, CA)
               
Must have two years experience in an ambulatory care patient setting. M.D. or D.O. Degree, current California Medical License, current DEA License, American Board of Family Practice Certification and current CPR certification required. Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings and weekends to meet the program needs. Must be able to work with the Indian Community, and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.
 
 
 
 
PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE

Location: Torres Martinez clinic (Thermal, CA)
               
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from accredited School of Nursing. Must possess a current California Nursing License and Public Health Nurse Certificate. Must possess a valid California driver's license and safe driving record. Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings and weekends to meet the program needs. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and needs.  
 
 
 
 
RN CHARGE NURSE

Location: Torres Martinez clinic (Thermal, CA)
               
Graduate of a NLN Accredited School of Nursing. Current California License as a Registered Nurse, and current CPR certification. Experience with computerized medical management system desirable. Two years experience in ambulatory care, urgent care, or similar setting. One-year supervisory experience. Must be able to work a variable schedule to meet client and program needs. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.  
 
 
 
 
 
STAFF DENTIST
Department: Dental

Location: Soboba clinic (San Jacinto, CA)
               
Graduate of an accredited Dental school. Dental Licensure in the state of CA. Applicant must have at least 2 years or experience/training beyond the undergraduate level. At least 1 year of this must be either professional practice experience, in addition must give evidence of good knowledge of current principles, practices, methods and techniques in dentistry. Applicant will work with various types of patients from the young to the elderly. Must be able to work with the Indian Community, and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs. 
 
 
 
 
 
PATIENT REGISTRATION-FLOATER

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicant must have the ability to work in a very fast-paced envrionment and be able to multi-task. A minimum of 1 year experience in a medical front office, with basic computer skills, keyboarding 30 wpm, filing and strong customer service skills. Must be able to work with the Indian Community, and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs. 
 
 
 
 
COOK'S HELPER/DRIVER
Department: Nutrition/WIC

Location: Pechanga clinic (Temecula, CA)
               
Under the supervision of the Site Manager/Cook, the cook's helper assists in the preparation of cooking, adn serving of food and beverages; clean kitchen and dining areas; washes dishes, silverware, pots and pans, delivers meals to patients at various locations; and perform other work as required. Applicant must have current CA drivers license with a safe driving record (DMV printout required). Position is 30 hours per week. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs. 
 
 
 
 
FRONT OFFICE LEAD

Applicant must possess a High School diploma or equivalent. The Front Office Lead will be responsible for faciliting customer service skill training to the front office staff members. Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical setting and demonstrated leadership in training customer service techniques. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.
