Applications are being accepted for existing vacancies and to establish a pool of qualified candidates for positions with Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health, INC. (RSBCIHI). Applications will be accepted by the Human Resources Department at any time and will be retained for a period not to exceed (1) calendar year from date of receipt. Appropriate testing for skill requirements may be given. A pre-employment physical exam, which includes drug and alcohol testing, is required. In addition, you are required to submit a copy of your Driver’s License along with your application for employment, if needed.

Preference in filling vacancies is given to qualified Indian applicants in accordance with the Indian Preference Act (Title 2 U.S. Code, Section 472 and 473) and the Indian Self Determination Act, Public Law 93-638, provided the applicant has submitted acceptable proof of Indian preference for employment, which is to accompany the application if you are claiming Indian Preference. NOTICE OF DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE ACT REQUIREMENTS: RSBCIHI has adopted a Drug-Free and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy, in part, to satisfy its obligations under the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988. It is unlawful for any employee to manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess or use a controlled substance in the workplace. In addition, RSBCIHI must be notified within five (5) calendar days of any criminal drug statute conviction for a violation occurring in the workplace. Employees who are suspected of violating RSBCIHI’s Drug-Free and Alcohol-Free Policy may be required to submit to an inspection of their person, vehicle or personal property. This may include medical testing for alcohol and/or drug use.

Public Health Nurse

Department: Outreach

Location: Torres-Martinez Clinic (Thermal, CA)

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from accredited School of Nursing. Must possess a current California Nursing License and Public Health Nurse Certificate. Must possess a valid California driver's license and safe driving record. Must be able to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet the program needs. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and needs.


Staff Physician: Family Practice

Department: Medical

Location: Barstow Clinic (Barstow, CA)

Must have two years of experience in an ambulatory care patient setting. M.D. or D.O. degree, current California Medical License, current DEA License, American Board of Family Practice Certification and current CPR certification required. Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings and weekends to meet the program needs. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.


Staff Dentist

Department: Dental

Location: Barstow Clinic (Barstow, CA)

Graduate of an accredited dental school. Dental Licensure in the State of CA. Applicant must have at least 2 years of experience/training beyond the undergraduate level. At least one year of this must be either professional practice experience, in addition must give evidence of a good knowledge of current principles, practices, methods and techniques in dentistry. Applicant will work with various types of patients from the young to the elderly. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.


Registered Dental Assistant

Applicant to have a high school diploma, Registered Dental Assistant Licensure, and two years of experience in a clinical setting with knowledge of RPMS and Dentrix Systems. Able to work front and back office and be responsible for fixed and removable lab billings. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.


Dental Receptionist

This position requires applicant to have a high school diploma or equivalent. Duties include scheduling all services provided at dental clinic, data entry, statistical information gathering, maintaining dental records, answering phones, scheduling appointments. Current Registered Dental Assistant License is preferred. Knowledge of RPMS and Dentrix Systems a PLUS. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.


Security Guard

Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have current California guard registration card. Good judgment and ability to make to quickly and accurately assess potential safety threats to the facility. A minimum of 1 year of experience. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicant must have the ability to work in a very fast-paced environment and be able to multitask. A minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical front office, with basic computer skills, keyboarding 30 wpm, filing and strong customer service skills. Must be able to work with the Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.
