Patient Advocate

High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years work experience with Social Services or Clinical patient Services or related area. This position maintains patient rights by educating patients; responding to patient and patient family complaints; resolving patient issues; reporting unresolved issues. The Patient Advocate will coordinate activities to ensure that Medicaid, Social Security, or other types of eligible funding for healthcare services is received for patients onsite at our communities. This includes assisting the patients and others to complete forms, applications and other paperwork. The Patient Advocate serves as a liaison between patients, clinics and outside agencies to facilitate eligibility processes. Must be able to work with the Indian Community, and be sensitive to the Indian Culture and its needs.
