(RSBCIHI | Riverside, CA) — This May, the Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health, Inc. (RSBCIHI) offered a series of cooking classes that allowed patients to participate both in-person and virtually. It was a wonderful opportunity for people to reconnect in the kitchen, and those who attended in-person had the added bonus of tasting the delicious dishes prepared during the class.
“It was so nice to have people come in and try the foods we prepared in class,” said one of the instructors. “There’s something about sharing food that really brings people together, and we can’t wait to see more faces join us in the kitchen next time.”
The classes offered practical, easy-to-follow recipes that focused on healthy eating, with tips on incorporating nutritious ingredients into everyday meals. Both in-person and virtual attendees learned valuable skills, making it accessible for everyone to participate, no matter their location.
Looking ahead, RSBCIHI is excited to announce that the second part of their Wellness Classes will kick off in August. These sessions will build on the success of the cooking classes, offering more opportunities for participants to learn about healthy living. More details will be available soon.

Whether you joined virtually or in person, the May cooking classes were a hit, and RSBCIHI hopes to see even more patients in the kitchen later this year!
