Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in science or any combination of sciences directly related to
environmental health. Must be a California Registered Environmental Health Specialist/Registered
Environmental Health Specialist through the National Environmental Health Association or must be eligible
to be California Registered Environmental Health Specialist or Registered Environmental Health specialist
through the National Environmental Health Association must pursue registration within one year. Minimum
one year supervisory experience required. Must have or willing to obtain current BLS Certification from the
American Heart Association or Red Cross prior to orientation. Must possess a valid California Driver’s License
with a safe driving record, DMV record required. The Environmental Health Services Manager has the
administrative and supervisory responsibility for the overall management of the EHS department in addition
to the development and implementation of environmental health services for all RSBCIHI clinics and Native
Americans living in the scattered towns, communities and rural areas of Riverside and San Bernardino
County. This requires the ability to perform surveys and evaluations and have a good understanding of the
purposes and requirements of a total environmental health program. Must be able to adapt accepted
environmental health methods and plan to meet situations that may arise. Must be able to work with the
Indian Community and be sensitive to the Indian culture and its needs.
