MOBILE MEDICAL UNIT DRIVER/COMMUNITY HEALTH EDUCATOR

Applicant must possess a High School diploma or equivalent, a California commercial drivers license (class
A or B). MMU Driver/Health Educator will drive the MMU to its destination for patient care, meet the needs of
the communities as outlined in the MMU grant, and assist the Diabetes Program goals in assigned
responsibilities as it relates to diabetes prevention, education, and control. The applicant must successfully
accomplish within 6 months from the date of hire a First Aid Course, CHR Training, and become certified in
Diabetes Retinal Screening. Must have or willing to obtain current BLS Certification from the American Heart
Association or Red Cross prior to orientation. Applicant must posses a valid California Drivers License with
a safe driving record, DMV record required. Must be able to work with the Indian community and be sensitive
to the Indian culture and its needs.
