Eligibility Requirements

Our Patient Registration Department determines eligibility based on guidelines from the RSBCIHI Board of Directors. To qualify, you’ll need to show proof of tribal membership and residency within Riverside or San Bernardino counties. If you’re a tribal member living outside these counties, you may qualify for referred care.

  • Eligibility Screening: Quick and efficient prescreening to determine potential eligibility for various health care programs such as Medi-Cal, Medicare, and Covered California.
  • Application Assistance: Full support in completing and filing applications for health care coverage through county, state, or federal programs.

  • Quarterly Checks: Mandatory quarterly screenings for all uninsured patients to explore potential eligibility for alternate health care coverage.

  • LIHEAP: The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program helps eligible households manage their heating and cooling expenses.
  • Emergency Funds: Available for Indian families in dire financial circumstances, provided by the generosity of consortium tribes and RSBCIHI employees.
